The helping families program features many supports designed to Build and Restore Respectful Family Relationships, and prevent youth violence. Our programs include positive parenting workshops, multi-family groups and incentives to help families develop strategies for building and restoring respectful relationships. Individualized clinical services are also available at the Sophia Center through our programs.
We recognize that each family situation is different. We provide many ways for families to access support or learn new strategies.
Positive Solutions for families is a parent workshop that helps parents of young children understand problem behaviors and learn positive approaches to help build relationships and teach and support appropriate behavior.
Step-Up is featured as a multi-family group evidence based program that address responding to abuse and promoting safety, restoring respectful relationships in the family, setting boundaries and regaining parental leadership. Step-Up can also be facilitated with Individual families.
Parent Cafe's are community gatherings where parents enjoy round table conversations focused around parenting concerns, joys, and questions related to raising children. A fun judgement-free evening with food and childcare creates an open forum for parents to connect.
