Prof. Rita Sassu
Rita Sassu is Associate Professor of Classical Archaeology at Unitelma Sapienza University of Rome. Her research focuses on the archaeology of cult, the economic history of ancient Greece, the urban and social organisation of the poleis, with specific reference to Sparta. Author of more than 130 publications, she directs the archaeological mission of Sapienza at Gortyn (Crete) upon concession of the Italian Archaeological School at Athens and cooordinates many research projects, such as the PRIN 2022 - ARCHITA.
