Outdoor People
Getting outdoors every day is essential. But 24% of London’s children get to a green space less than once a month. Outdoor People was set up in 2014 as a social enterprise with a mission to get children outdoors - playing, learning, exploring.
Outdoor People is based in a community camping and outdoors shop in central Hackney, supplying families, adventurers and schools with gear to get outdoors every day. All profits from the shop support the Outdoor Families programme, adventures for Hackney’s children to take their grown-ups on – Wild Walks, camping and epic adventures. We also work in schools, supporting them to make playtimes great through the OPAL Primary Programme. If you'd like to visit a school do take a look at the OPAL CIC Eventbrite page.
