Mount Tamalpais State Park
Mount Tamalpais State Park is a large, biodiverse California State Park in the San Francisco Bay Area. It has been a State Park since 1928. The park features miles of trails traversing a variety of ecosystems, from chaparral to coast redwood forests, so even a short adventure can take in a vast array of wildlife. There are beaches, campgrounds, picnic areas, visitor centers, and cabins as well. A short trip from the City to Mt Tam can lead to outstanding outdoor adventure.
