I'm a voice and performance coach helping people present themselves with clarity and confidence. My background is in theatre, as director, actor, scriptwriter and coach: and I set up The Oakshott Principle (TOP) Coaching in 2002. I am the Director of Trio Literati, founder of Leeds Voice Days and was accepted in 2003 as an external CPD trainer for The Law Society of Great Britain. Since 2004 I have been voice coach for the award-winning Broadcast Journalism Department at Trinity University. My MBE was awarded in 2008 for work to upskill community groups in confidence and spoken delivery for outdoor, city performance. In 2025 I was re-elected President of the British Voice Association (ongoing).
