Welcome to the world of Fusion, Tribal and Bellydance, a colorful exciting dance community where the very essence of women is celebrated! Tribal and Fusion Bellydance is a style that has been created using the basic steps of Oriental dance,then mixing it with Western dance styles as modern, jazz ballet, hip hop and more. Tribal, Fusion and Belly dance appeal to all shapes and sizes, ages and types of women and these days are practiced all around the planet. Dancers use this universal language to communicate with each other and with other dancers in one big strong and supportive community that embraces difference. To bring joy through movement, to touch people’s hearts and to ignite the fire of creativity in those who dance it.

Since 2024 Shimmy Shake is based in Amsterdam and organizes 1 Soiree, a year featuring Fusion and Bellydance shows, and since this year 2026 a Spring Hafla (dancing party for and by dancers.) We are entirely organized and run by volunteers, incluing the perormances!
