ELCA - European Lighting Cluster Alliance
The overall objective of the European Lighting Cluster Alliance, ELCA, is to gather forces on a European level in order to increase the competitiveness of the European lighting industries.
The member clusters of ELCA represent the whole value chain of lighting from universities, municipalities and regions to lighting companies, creative businesses and artists.
ELCA’s target is to promote sustainable growth and development within the lighting and photonic sectors, creating new workplaces as well as contributing to solve societal challenges within the energy and climate sectors.
Sharing of knowledge, best practice and innovation
ELCA wants to enhance awareness on a regional, national and European level on the high potential of the lighting sectors for research based innovation and global market development. In order to achieve stronger cluster excellence, we want to share knowledge and good practice among companies, organizations, institutions and NGOs working with innovation, market and industry development.
The main position of ELCA in the lighting value chain is downstream, focusing on applications and usage of lighting. This focus involves also actual collaboration and research projects.
The European Lighting Cluster Alliance ELCA is a legal entity under Italian law, registered in the Chamber of Commerce of Padua as non-profit Association.
