Cafe Mortel is a creative studio reimagining funerals, death rituals, and mourning through art, design, and storytelling. Founded by Ruby Cohen Love, a Guatemalan-born creative director based in London, the studio explores how we can immortalise our loved ones through creativity and propose new rituals for living and dying. Through death-awareness events, dinners, and exhibitions, Cafe Mortel opens intimate and inspiring spaces to reflect on mortality with beauty, playfulness, and intention. Each experience invites people to accept impermanence and give space to grief as a way to live more consciously, meaningfully, and well.
