Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. - Omega Eta Zeta
On January 16, 1920, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. was founded on the campus of Howard University in Washington, D.C. by Arizona Cleaver Stemons, Viola Tyler Goings, Myrtle Tyler Faithful, Fannie Pettie Watts, and Pearl Anna Neal.
These women dared to depart from the traditional coalitions for women and sought to establish a new organization based on the ideology of scholarship, service, sisterhood, and Finer Womanhood.
On March 16, 2012, we chartered our chapter, Omega Eta Zeta, which continues to follow the organization’s ideals in the South Shore of Massachusetts. Our vision is to strongly commit to community service such as March of Babies, the American Cancer Society and help students to attain a degree through our scholarship program.
