Dalle stampe clandestine ai blog, dalle fanzine fotocopiate ai reader digitali, il libro ripercorre le metamorfosi del medium libro e la sua sorprendente capacità di resistere a ogni rivoluzione tecnologica.– Ricercatore, artista e caporedattore della rivista Neural dal 1993, Alessandro Ludovico é Professore Associato alla Winchester School of Art, University of Southampton. Ha pubblicato e curato diversi libri, tra cui Virtual Reality Handbook (1992), Internet Underground Guide (1995), Post-Digital Print (2012) e Tactical Publishing (2024), e ha tenuto conferenze in tutto il mondo. Ha inoltre lavorato come consulente per il Magazine Project di Documenta 12. È uno degli autori della trilogia artistica premiata Hacking Monopolism (Google Will Eat Itself, Amazon Noir, Face to Facebook).
