Laimburg Research Centre, together with the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, is officially opening the Laboratory of NMR Spectroscopy, located at NOI Techpark in Bolzano. On this occasion, the first scientific symposium on NMR technology will be held in South Tyrol. For the Inauguration and the Symposium we will be delighted to host Prof. Dr. Kurt Wüthrich, Nobel Prize Laureate in Chemistry 2002, a pioneer in NMR spectroscopy applied to the characterization of proteins and other biological compounds. Research activities of the Laboratory of NMR Spectroscopy will be mainly focused on the determination of the authenticity, typicality and origin of local food products, as well as on conducting structural, kinetic and functional studies of biological molecules and on the identification of new unknown molecules.Das Versuchszentrum Laimburg eröffnet gemeinsam mit der Freien Universität Bozen das Labor für NMR-Spektroskopie im NOI Techpark in Bozen. Bei dieser Gelegenheit findet auch das erste wissenschaftliche Symposium zur NMR-Technologie in Südtirol statt. Der Einweihung und dem Symposium wird der Chemie-Nobelpreisträger von 2002, Prof. Dr. Kurt Wüthrich beiwohnen, der ein Pionier auf dem Gebiet der NMR-Spektroskopie zur Charakterisierung von Proteinen und anderen biologischen Verbindungen ist. Ziel des Labors ist es, die NMR-Spektroskopie als leistungsfähige Analysetechnik einzusetzen, um die Authentizität, Typizität und Herkunft lokaler Lebensmittel zu bestimmen, sowie strukturelle, kinetische und funktionelle Studien biologischer Moleküle und die Identifizierung neuer unbekannter Moleküle durchzuführen.Il Centro di Sperimentazione Laimburg, insieme alla Libera Università di Bolzano, inaugura ufficialmente il Laboratorio di Spettroscopia NMR situato presso il NOI Techpark di Bolzano. Per questa occasione verrà organizzato il primo Simposio scientifico sulla tecnologia NMR in Alto Adige. Per l’Inaugurazione e per il Simposio saremo lieti di ospitare il Premio Nobel per la Chimica 2002 Prof. Dr. Kurt Wüthrich, pioniere nella spettroscopia NMR applicata alla caratterizzazione di proteine e altri composti biologici. Obiettivo del Laboratorio sarà quello di utilizzare la Spettroscopia NMR come potente tecnica analitica per determinare autenticità, tipicità e origine dei prodotti agroalimentari del territorio, nonché per condurre studi strutturali, cinetici e funzionali di molecole biologiche e l’identificazione di nuove molecole incognite.
