Postpunk, noise rock e underground with Liquid Words live in Genoa

On Sunday 26 October at 10 p.m., Bonfim Club, located at 27R Anita Garibaldi Promenade, will present Liquid Words in concert. The band was formed in Brescia in June 2021 and consists of four musicians (vocals, drums, bass, electric guitar and clarinet) who have developed a sound based on improvisation, research and the fusion of genres.Their style oscillates between artistic post-punk, noise rock, abstract jazz and industrial and underground influences, with a progressive approach made up of expansive and experimental atmospheres. The group's poetics revolve around the relationship between words and silence, with lyrics and performances that evoke liquid images, ink and suspended fragments of meaning.After a first collection of live recordings entitled Live Collages Vol. 1, in November 2024 they released their debut album The Dept. of Corrections Praises Imperfections, which represents an attempt to fill the void between the silence of writing and the sound of words with music. However, their preferred medium remains live performance, understood as a raw, imperfect and intense sound experience, in which the value of improvisation prevails over the finished form.
