Who can participate in the hackathon?

Accepted Answer

The hackathon is open to Master’s students and recent graduates (18+) with a technical or scientific background.
Participants can join as a team (3–5 people) or apply individually and be assigned to a team at the event.

Do I need to register with a team?

Accepted Answer

No. You can register either with a pre-formed team or individually.
If you register individually, you will be assigned to a group on the day of the hackathon, ensuring everyone can take part in a team experience.

Is participation free?

Yes, participation is completely free of charge.

Question 4

Will mentors be available during the event?

Accepted Answer

Yes, mentors will be available throughout the hackathon to support teams with technical and business guidance.

Question 5

How are prizes structured?

Accepted Answer

The hackathon awards two prizes:
€1,500 for the first-place team
and €500 for the second-place team.
Prizes are based on the jury’s final evaluation.

What should I bring with me?

Please bring your laptop, charger, and anything else you may need to work comfortably for 24 hours.

What language will the hackathon be held in?

The official language of the event is English.

Will food and drinks be provided?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Dinner, Breakfast and Lunch will be provided to all participants, along with drinks (water, coffee, and soft drinks), all offered by Therness; participants just need to focus on the hackathon itself.

Is it allowed to stay overnight at the venue?

Accepted Answer

Yes, overnight stay at the venue is allowed during the hackathon.

Question 10

How does selection work? Are spots limited?

Accepted Answer

Yes, capacity is limited. If registrations exceed the available spots, participants will be confirmed on a rolling basis, prioritizing a balanced mix of backgrounds and skills. Please note that registrations will close on February 20, or earlier if capacity is reached.
