Description
GROUND LEVEL ACTIONS TO DEVELOP ACTIVE CITIZENSHIP
Urban Agencies have a role in supporting initiatives finalized to activate innovative ground-level actions. These are intended to facilitate the connection between different urban communities, actors and organizations to generate:
- interconnection and identification of common values and needs;
- generate a policy community, stimulating active and pursposed behaviours relating to urban development
Starting from the experiences developed by Urbannect (My City is My Home, Celebrating Communities, Vamos a la Playa, H33|Social Innovation Hub), participants will be stimulated to reflect upon new ways to achieve change in urban behavioring. The challenge is to identify a collection of actions that could effectively by applied to different urban contexts, in order to develop an international community of practices committed to change the way citizens act in their urban habitats.
