e-Rum2020 is a 4 days conference to bring the R users community together to exchange experiences, broaden knowledge of R and collaborate

About this Event

The European R users meeting (eRum) is a biennial conference that brings the R users community of Europe together to exchange experiences, broaden knowledge of R and collaborate. Given the current Covid-19 situation, the 2020 edition of eRum, e-Rum2020, will take place as a virtual event from June 17th to June 20th.

eRum is an open event, and it welcomes expert and skillful practitioners as well as people who just want to take a peek on the future of data science. e-Rum2020 aims to provide a platform for the creation of new collaborations and for sharing experiences. Being a non profit, virtual conference, tickets for the conference and workshops will be free of charge.

Ticket information

Conference tickets comprise:

  • Participation to all conference sessions on June 17th until June 19th
  • Access to Sponsors Booths and Networking Sessions available during the conference
  • Access to Recruiting Sessions during the conference.

Workshop tickets comprise:

  • Participation to a morning workshop and an afternoon workshop on June 20th;
  • Access to Sponsors Booths and Networking Sessions available during the conference;

All technical details will be sent to ticket holders by email closer to the event.

Hackathon on Spatial Networks (Satellite Event)

Participation to the hackathon on June 16th is free, welcome to all, especially if you have experience with spatial data, graphs, and/or package development/documentation. You can register to the hackathon and read a more detailed description here.

Recruiting Session

Participation to the recruiting session is included in the conference ticket. To be contacted for taking part in recruiting sessions held by the Sponsors, please provide your contacts and CV via this google form in addition to registration on Eventbrite.

Registration Policy

The event is free of charge. We would like to thank all the volunteers and the sponsors who helped us making this possible!

If you are interested in supporting our organization and its activities to promote R you can also purchase a free ticket with an open donation: the funds raised through donations will be used to support the MilanoR association and the organisation of events like e-Rum2020 and their related activities.

Note that a previous registration to the cancelled physical meeting does NOT give access to the virtual event .

Conference speakers, sponsors and organizers

If you belong to one of the following categories: keynote speaker; invited speaker; contributed speaker; workshop leader; sponsor; organizing committee member; program committee member; please register through the link with the dedicated ticket that we sent you by email. This will ensure that you are included in the appropriate mailing lists that the organizing committee will use for official communications, and to confirm your contribution if you are a speaker / workshop leader so that we can finalize the conference program.

Cancellation policy

All tickets (conference, workshop and satellite events) are free of charge. In case of impossibility to attend the event after the registration, we kindly ask you to de-register through Eventbrite: this way you will give the opportunity to attend the event to someone who has been put in the waiting list.
