Tondo presents its new Circularity Measurement Tools for products, companies and cities.

On Tuesday 12 March 2024, at 4 p.m. Tondo is organizing a webinar to present its Circularity Measurement Tools. The Tools are made using nationally and internationally recognized methodologies to analyze and measure the circularity of companies, entities and organizations. The webinar will show how the Tools work, why they were conceived and what purpose they will have for a company.The webinar will be divided into 4 moments: 1. Introduction on what it means to measure circularity, why it is important and what are the advantages with Francesco Castellano; 2. Presentation of the Circularity Measurement Tools for products, companies and cities with Alessandro Innocenti and Denisa Moldovan; 3. Demo of the Tools with an overview of the dashboard, an explanation of the different indicators and an example of the final output with Francesco Castellano, Alessandro Innocenti and Denisa Moldovan.The measurement tool of products is founded on an internationally recognized methodology, the Material Circularity Indicator by the Ellen MacArthur Foundation. By inputting the necessary data, a product’s level of circularity is calculated, starting with raw material flows, inputs and outputs related to the product, product-specific energy, water consumed, and packaging.The measurement tool of companies follows is made by 71 indicators, and maps six key areas of the company. Those indicators and the calculation methodology come from the UNI/TS 11820 technical specification. The tool, based on this norm, provides the circularity level of the whole company.The measurement tool of cities starts by analyzing the tools available in the literature, and uses 97 indicators to understand the level of circularity of cities, investigating material and energy flows, emissions, efficiency of economic operations, and the quality of life of citizens. The tool aims to create an overview of the region and identify areas to act on for a transformation of the city into a sustainable and resilient environment.The webinar will expose Tondo's work and its offer regarding the tools. Il tool, basato proprio su questa normativa, fornisce il livello di circolarità complessivo a livello aziendale.Il tool di misurazione delle città parte dall’analisi degli strumenti disponibili in letteratura, e usa 97 indicatori per comprendere il livello di circolarità delle città, indagando i flussi materici ed energetici, le emissioni, l’efficienza delle operazioni economiche e la qualità della vita dei cittadini.
