History teaches us that, all things considered, every innovation – from the printing press to social media – has always aroused concerns that turned out to be overblown. Are we experiencing a reiteration of this commonplace observation? In an accessible style, this book debunks a set of widespread myths and argues that we can deal intelligently and mindfully with the challenges of the digital age. The author provides readers with an indispensable tool for coping with both justified concerns and unwarranted anxiety. 📌 Alberto Acerbi teaches Sociology at the University of Trento. His research interests focus on cultural evolution, cognitive anthropology, and the effects of digital media.
