Ken Abrams
Bio - Professional Career
Ken Abrams has achieved 30 years of government service, starting with the United States Air Force at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas, where he began his teaching vocation as a Marksmanship Instructor. Soon after, he worked for the Federal Bureau of Prisons, as a Correctional Officer assigned to the Metropolitan Detention Center, Brooklyn, New York. In his next endeavor, he as appointed as Drug Enforcement Administration Special Agent, and ultimately retired as a Supervisor in May 2017. During his DEA tenure, he worked as an Instructor at the DEA Training Academy, while also holding the collateral duty of Public Information Officer. Following his Academy assignment, he was promoted and selected as Country Attache’ for the DEA Bucharest Country Office in Bucharest, Romania.
He is also a an Adjunct Professor at Northern Virginia Community College, Annandale campus, Virginia, and teaches several courses for the criminal justice department. Ken Abrams has a Master’s Degree of Science in Administration of Justice and Security (University of Phoenix), and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science (Stony Brook University, Long Island, New York). Additionally, he has maintained certification as an Ethics Instructor since 2010 (Institute of International Law Enforcement Center, Plano, Texas).
In September 2022, he founded Tactical52 LLC; summarily its mission is guided by the principles of cultivating ethical leadership, building collaborative trust and enhancing workplace culture. Tactical52 service product are professional development training courses, workshops and seminars for law enforcement agencies, private industry, social and youth organizations. More recently, he is a Criminal Justice Professor at Bowie State University in the state of Maryland.
