Athena Montanari — Founder of The Sacred Cacao Path
Athena Montanari is a Guatemalan-born cacao ceremony facilitator and founder of The Sacred Cacao Path. Her work bridges ancestral cacao traditions with intentional, heart-centered gatherings designed to support presence, clarity, and conscious living.
Her cacao comes directly from her family in Guatemala, where her cousin Carlos, a third-generation cacao maker, continues a stone-ground tradition passed down through generations. Rooted in Mayan heritage, this cacao is ethically sourced, minimally processed, and prepared with deep respect for the land and lineage it comes from.
Athena’s ceremonies are intentional spaces where people gather to ground their nervous systems, reconnect with the heart, and cultivate emotional steadiness in community. Her approach emphasizes embodiment over ideology, presence over scale, and integrity over spectacle.
In addition to her ceremonial work, Athena has coordinated cultural and spiritual events in Sedona, creating spaces where tradition, community, and conscious participation meet.
Through The Sacred Cacao Path, she offers ceremonies, ethically sourced cacao, and gatherings that invite people to return to what is real, grounded, and shared.
