KDA Kizomba Dance Academy

Kizomba Dance Academy Ireland (KDA) was founded by Esmeraldo Tavares, internationally recognised dancer, choreographer and cultural promoter specialising in Kizomba and Semba.

KDA is one of the leading platforms for Afro-diasporic dance in Ireland. Since its foundation, the academy has trained hundreds of students across Dublin, Galway and Cork, organised large-scale festivals, community integration projects and international masterclasses.

Our mission is clear:

To preserve the cultural authenticity of Kizomba and Semba while developing confident, technically strong and musically aware dancers.
