Pointes for Peace
Pointes for Peace is a peace education and advocacy group founded in March 2003 by two women in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. Area residents who displayed lawn signs opposing the impending war against Iraq were invited to a candlelight vigil at Kercheval and St Clair in the town center known as the "Village". In one of thousands of vigils held around the globe that night, more than 100 people gathered on this one Grosse Pointe corner to silently protest protest the war.
