Excursion to the discovery of Capo d'Arno, the naturalistic Dante's place par excellence
About this event
Beautiful hiking ring in the woods and ridges of the highest peaks of the Tuscan-Romagna Apennines, in the heart of the Casentino Forests. We are on Mount Falterona, at the source of the river Arno, mentioned by Dante Alighieri in the Divine Comedy.
Besides its springs, this place is also important as an archaeological site. Here, in fact, numerous finds of the Etruscan era have been discovered that testify how much the history of the valley has ancient roots.
A real immersion in nature, in the waters and in the woods of these immense forests, during which we will guide you through the most representative places and views of the area with a path that will allow us to admire:
The Black Gorga
The Idoli Lake
Cape Arno
The ridge of Mount Falterona and Mount Falco
The crags of the Rondinaie
In one excursion the best of the territory in front of us!
