That’s right: the search for the world’s best Tiramisu arrives in Canada with an Official Selection for the Original Tiramisu, which will be held in Toronto on 15 June 2024!

Be one of the competitors and prepare your best tiramisu (ingredients provided by us, you have only to bring your kitchen tools) following the original italian recipe: you could fly to Italy and compete in the Tiramisù World Cup in Treviso, in October.


Saturday 15

  • 3 pm - First round of competition
  • 5 pm - Second round of competition
  • 7 pm - Country final
  • 9 pm - Award ceremony

The competitions will take place on College Street, during the "Taste of Little Italy" event.

Who can participate?

To join you must be at least 18 years old and not be a gastronomy professional

Where and when will the Canada Selections take place?

The competition will take place on Saturday 15 June 2024 in the ITALEA Area as part of the event "Taste of Little Italy", which will be located on College St. (Toronto) There will be 2 rounds: one at 3 p.m. and one at 5 p.m. You can choose in which one you want to participate when you buy our ticket

How much time will I have to prepare the tiramisù?

You will have 40 minutes to prepare the tiramisù

What is the Country Final at 7 p.m. and can I participate?

The winners of the Selections (the competitor who gets the highest score at 3 p.m. and the one ho wins the 5 p.m. round) will compete at 7 p.m. in the Country Final

What time will the Country Final be held?

The final will be held at 7pm at the same location as the competition

What do I need to bring from home?

You will need to bring the kitchen tools to make tiramisù (bowls, electric whisk, spoons, a scale, ...) from home. You do not need to bring any ingredients as they will all be provided on site

Can I bring other ingredients to add?

No, as the ingredients will be those of the original recipe

What ingredients will you provide?

The ingredients you will have to prepare your tiramisù will be those of the original recipe: pasteurized egg yolks, ladyfingers, mascarpone cheese, white sugar, coffee, and bitter cocoa. Moreover, we will give you the plate to present your tiramisù

Can I decorate my plate or use additional ingredients?

While it is not allowed to bring and use additional ingredients, you can decorate the plate but only using the ingredients of the original recipe that we will provide

How much tiramisu should I make?

In order to avoid food waste, you will be asked to prepare a small portion. However, you are free to prepare more tiramisù to bring home or you can choose to bring the remaining ingredients home

How early should I arrive at the event?

It is recommended to arrive 20 minutes before the start of the competition
