Welcome to Yelagin Palace, a bright and elegant gem on the Neva. Built in the early 19th century and designed by architect Carlo Rossi, the palace was a peaceful summer retreat for Russia’s royal family. In this episode, we step outside into the palace gardens. Yelagin’s park is full of quiet paths, old trees, and ponds where swans glide gracefully. We’ll walk along bridges, admire the flowers, and enjoy the calm beauty of Rossi’s landscape design. The gardens are a peaceful escape from the city, with sculptures, pavilions, and lovely corners where you can imagine the royal family enjoying nature just like we do today.
