How can you apply?

You have time till Sunday, 14th of May 2024 to fill in the registration form using the following link and to share with us your short video-presentation (3 min max) where you state why you are passionate about Sustainability, Diversity & Inclusion and what you would like to learn!

Wait for our confirmation of participation email which you will receive no later than Sunday, 25th of May 2024.

Only after you receive our confirmation of your spot on the SDIP program, should you pay your fee* through the Eventbrite platform (450 Euro + IVA if required by your country). Payment should be made no later than Wednesday, 5th of June 2024.

*Accommodation in shared rooms, food & drinks, airport transfers (from/to Pisa), and learning materials are covered by the philanthropic organization that will host us. Detailed location information will be communicated via email upon registration.

Frequently asked questions

Where is the training venue?

The training takes place in an old location in Siena's countryside, now operated by a philanthropic organization focusing on the development of individuals under 35. Location details are provided upon registration to respect the hosting partner's wish to avoid unsolicited contacts and promotions.

Will I have a private single room with a private bathroom?

Expect shared accommodation; participants will likely share rooms and bathrooms with 2-4 others. Two single rooms are reserved for emergencies, such as if a participant falls ill.

Is it also expected that I do housekeeping?

Participants are encouraged to maintain cleanliness in all used spaces. During our accommodation, the hosting organization won't provide housekeeping service.

What you do not have to pay, and do not be worry about?

4 nights in a shared room (2-4 people per room); Daily meals and coffee breaks at the venue; Round trip transfers from/to Pisa airport and train station on 26th August and 1st September 2024 (midday); Training materials. All this will be covered by the ONG that will host us.

What is not covered by the training program registration fee?

Your travel to/from Pisa on the specified dates; Any alternative transport to the venue if not arriving at the Pisa meeting point midday, 26th August 2024; The cost of dinner at a traditional osteria in Siena.

I have some special dietary necessities. Will be they considered in the daily menù and food offer?

Special dietary needs will be accommodated; please specify them in the provided questionnaire upon registration.

Smoking policy. Is it possible to smoke in the venue?

Smoking is strictly prohibited in all areas of the venue. Smokers must leave the training location grounds to smoke.

What's level of English proficiency is required in order to be able to attend the course?

No certification of any English as a second language level is requested. Conversational proficiency in English is required, to facilitate teamwork and interaction among international participants. Multilingual skills are part of the recommended skills of D&I practitioners.

What’s the enrollment process?

Complete the registration form. Email a max 3-min video presentation, expressing your passion and goals for Sustainability, Diversity & Inclusion to sustainabledip@gmail.com by 14 May 2024. Await selection notification by 26 May 2024. Pay the training fee via Eventbrite by 5 June 2024.

Are there any cancellation or reimbursement policies in case of any urgency or change?

No, unfortunately due to the limited number of people who can have the opportunity to attend the Summer Immersive Certification course with such a low budget investment, thanks to the covering costs provided by the training location, it is not possible to reimburse any.

How can I use my certification?

Showcase your Sustainable Diversity & Inclusion Practitioner certification and acquired skills on your CV and social media to affirm your expertise in the field.

Will I have the opportunity to talk to my roommates in advance?

Post-registration and upon consent, we can provide the contact details of your roommates for prior acquaintance. Note: Ensure that the registration link and email address are provided correctly in the "Enrollment Process" section for clear guidance to the applicants.

Is there Wi-Fi available at the venue?

Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the training venue for all participants.

What should I bring with me for the training?

Bring any personal necessities, comfortable attire suitable for a countryside environment, swimwear if desired, and note-taking materials. No specific documents or materials are required unless otherwise communicated.

How intensive is the training schedule, and is there any free time for exploration?

The training program is structured to be immersive yet balanced, with scheduled free time in the evenings for relaxation and exploration. See the detailed agenda in the section dedicated on Eventbrite.

What is the medium of instruction during the training program?

The primary medium of instruction and communication during the training will be English.

Will any follow-up support or resources be available post-training?

Yes, participants will have access to ongoing resources and will be invited to join an alumni network for continuous learning and collaboration opportunities.

Are there any pre-course materials or prerequisites to review before attending?

While no prerequisites are required, participants will receive a list of recommended readings and resources to browse through before the training begins.

Are there any scholarship opportunities or discounts available?

The training program is priced to be accessible thanks to our host partner. No scholarship opportunities are available.

How will the training accommodate participants with disabilities?

We strive for inclusivity and will make accommodations for participants with disabilities. Please provide details during registration to ensure appropriate arrangements.

Will I receive a physical certificate, or is it digital?

Participants will receive a digital certificate upon completion of the training. If a physical certificate is preferred, please request it specifically.

Is there an opportunity for networking or collaborative projects post-training?

Yes, participants will be encouraged to engage in networking sessions during the training and will be encouraged to network post-training.

What is the protocol for grievances or issues during the training program?

We are committed to ensuring a positive experience for all. Any grievances or issues can be directly reported to the event coordinators or through an anonymous feedback channel, ensuring prompt resolution.

Can the program be attended virtually?

Currently, the training program is designed for in-person participation to enhance immersive learning. However, please stay tuned for potential future virtual offerings.

Is it possible to know in advance the location name and address?

No, this is not possible. The hosting NGO requests to remain anonymous.
