Dear Speckers,

Welcome to our (already!) 4th event of the season, and the last one for 2022!

This time, together with our speakers, we will be talking about design mistakes, webpages, team conversations, and much much more! Can you hear Mariah Carey singing? Welcome to "All I want for Christmas is UX"!

Access to the venue will be granted solely to people possessing a regular ticket that will be scanned at the entrance of the Impact Hub Trentino. Wearing an FFP2 mask is not mandatory, but warmly recommended. If you can't physically attend, you can follow the live-stream here.

Please find below our wonderful speakers:

🇬🇧 "Design beyond deliverables"

[talk in English]

ABSTRACT: Digital products are more complex today than ever before. Creating them requires multiple team members and other stakeholders. Design work is not something that can happen in isolation, and how effectively we manage others' contributions can help us make or break a design. I’ll share some of the things I have learned from past mistakes on how to shape better conversations around design work.

BIO: I'm Nicole, a product designer currently working at Moneyfarm, where I design digital experiences for financial products from my home in the middle of the mountains in Italy.

🇬🇧 "Your website is ugly - how to fix it (and why you should care)"

[talk in English]

ABSTRACT: Nowadays, anyone can create their personal website with little to no code, and without the need to employ a designer. But how can you tell if it's well made - and if it can make a difference when trying to land an interview or a client? I will walk you through the most common design mistakes to avoid via real-life examples so that you can create a website that is delightful and that can take you where you want to go!

BIO: Maria Teresa is a Senior UX Designer at Cerved Group based in Trento, Italy. A former Psychology graduate, she discovered UX at university while specializing in HCI. In her free time, you might find her searching for vintage clothes or trying to keep her (too many) plants alive.
