Professor Clough Marinaro has been doing fieldwork with vulnerable ethnic minority groups for 20 years. She will present some of her experiences and the challenges she has faced and will guide students in developing their own strategies for doing ethical and sensitive practical research with and among vulnerable people.
Professor Clough Marinaro is the head of the Modern Languages and Literature Department at John Cabot University. Her current research interests include immigration to Italy, Romani political activism, urban development and its social consequences in Rome, changing forms of crime and the informal economy in Italy.
