CILD, CSVnet, European Pro Bono Alliance, European Pro Bono Initiative, Latham & Watkins, Orrick, PILnet, Pro Bono Italia e TrustLaw organizzano la quarta edizione dell’Italy Pro Bono Day, che si svolgerà mercoledì 24 novembre 2021, dalle 10 alle 17, virtualmente ospitata dallo Studio Latham & Watkins (Milano).

Alla luce del recente incremento del numero di contagi Covid e del conseguente rafforzamento delle misure di prevenzione, l’evento sarà svolto esclusivamente online.

L’Italy Pro Bono Day celebra il ruolo svolto dal pro bono legale nel sostenere la società civile organizzata e promuovere l’accesso alla giustizia e si inserisce nell’ambito della terza edizione dell’European Pro Bono Week (22-26 novembre 2021), con eventi in oltre 17 capitali europee. Le sessioni di formazione legale del mattino ed il seminario pomeridiano saranno tenuti in italiano, mentre la tavola rotonda in inglese. L’evento è in corso di accreditamento presso il Consiglio Nazionale Forense.

SESSIONE 1, SESSIONI DI FORMAZIONE LEGALE PER ONG ED ENTI DEL TERZO SETTORE (DALLE 10 ALLE 12:30): ONG, Enti del Terzo Settore ed imprese sociali sono invitati a partecipare alle sessioni gratuite di formazione legale, tenute dagli avvocati della nostra rete sulle seguenti materie: (i) diritto immobiliare; (ii) diritto del lavoro; (iii) diritto societario e del Terzo Settore; (iv) diritto della protezione dei dati personali; (v) diritto dell’immigrazione; e (vi) diritto tributario.

SESSIONE 2, 40MA ITALIAN PRO BONO ROUNDTABLE (DALLE 13 ALLE 14:30): Gli associati e la rete di Pro Bono Italia sono invitati a partecipare all’ultima tavola rotonda del 2021. Il programma comprende la presentazione di alcune ONG nuove alla nostra rete, l’illustrazione dei rapporti annuali delle clearinghouse di Coalizione Italiana Libertà e Diritti civili (CILD) e CSVnet e quello di Pro Bono Italia, ed una discussione aperta sull’importanza dei progetti di collaborazione, sia a livello europeo che nazionale, per affrontare problemi complessi.

SESSIONE 3, SEMINARIO POMERIDIANO "IL PRESENTE ED IL FUTURO DEL PRO BONO IN ITALIA" (DALLE 15 ALLE 16:30): Il seminario riprende il tema portante dell’European Pro Bono Week, declinandolo su scala nazionale. Cosa significa fare pro bono in Italia oggi? Qual è il ruolo degli avvocati pro bono, delle cliniche legali e dei giuristi d’impresa nel soddisfare le crescenti esigenze della società civile organizzata e degli individui in difficoltà? Quali le risposte individuali e comuni? Spunti ed approfondimenti saranno offerti da diversi operatori del volontariato legale in Italia. Italy Pro Bono Day celebrates the role played by lawyers who offer pro bono legal services to support civil society and promote access to justice. It is part of the third edition of European Pro Bono Week (22-26 November 2021). For more information, please see the website.

The morning legal training sessions and the afternoon seminar will be conducted in Italian, while the roundtable will be conducted in English. We have applied for CLE credit for this event.

SESSION 1, LEGAL TRAINING SESSIONS FOR NGOs AND THIRD SECTOR BODIES (FROM 10 AM TO 12.30 PM): NGOs, Third Sector Entities and social enterprises are invited to participate in the following free legal training sessions delivered by lawyers from our network: (i) Real estate; (ii) Labour law; (iii) Corporate Law and Third Sector Law; (iv) Protection of personal data; (v) Immigration law; and (vi) tax law.

SESSION 2, 40TH ITALIAN PRO BONO ROUNDTABLE (FROM 1 PM TO 2.30 PM): Pro Bono Italia’s members and network are invited to attend the last Italian Pro Bono Roundtable of 2021. The program includes – among others – presentations from some NGOs that are new to our network, and presentations of the annual reports of CILD, CSVnet, and Pro Bono Italia itself. Additionally, there will be a presentation of examples of European collaborative pro bono initiatives.

SESSION 3, AFTERNOON SEMINAR "THE STATE AND THE FUTURE OF PRO BONO" (FROM 3 PM TO 4:30 PM): The seminar will address the main theme of European Pro Bono Week, on a national level: what does it mean to do pro bono in Italy today, and in what direction are we headed? What is the role of lawyers who offer pro bono services and collaborate with civil society, academia and business, in an ever-changing world? How are stakeholders affected by the changes we are witnessing? And what are the answers? We will be joined by pro bono leaders from multiple sectors who will offer insights and information. Moderator: Valentina Maglione from Il Sole 24 Ore, Media Partner of the event.
