This course will introduce you to R as an efficient tool for data manipulation, visualization and analysis. You will learn some basics, as how to install R and R-studio and manage its packages, and what are the main R objects. Then you will learn how to use R, with an overview on tools for data import, data manipulation, data visualization and data analysis.
The first day of this course will introduces you to the R environment.
First, you will learn how to install and manage R, R-studio and R packages and how to efficiently navigate among the wide variety of online R resources.
The introductory part will be followed by an exhaustive exploration of the various types of R objects.
The first day will close with data import and export techniques.
The second day is a gentle introduction to the three main assets of data science: Data Manipulation, Data Visualization and Data Modelling. We will use the most modern packages for this purpose: dplyr for data handling, and ggplot for plotting and graphics.
