There is a need for practical, clear, and responsible ways to identify real opportunities—not just AI buzzwords. That’s why we've created our AI Bootcamps, for those who want to try a structured approach to AI.

How?

Module 1 · Introduction to designing AI-based services: methodology & tools
🗓 3 March · 15:00–17:00 CET

To start, we will share our tested framework synthesized after years of work on AI-related projects, it is a method to think about AI with purpose and awareness starting from the definition of opportunities to the measurements of implementation impacts. We will use this session to share our learnings and have a discussion with participant considering following topics:

• Intro into Human-AI collaboration. What happened passing from Human-Machine interaction paradigms to the age of AI and how things changed since GenAI explosion.
• What AI can do? More details on different use cases for AI and how can we think of them from augmentation to automation spectrum.
• How AI can appear? Understanding AI beyond the chatbots and seeing all the variety of the ways in which it can appear in a service or process.
• How does it affect services & processes? Examples of AI applications throughout the whole value chain of the service understanding potential at different steps.
• How can we design and think about it? Introducing the full cycle of design for AI from scoping the opportunities to measuring the impacts with case studies.

At the end of the session we wil share our cards decks and canvas to start preparing for the next practical module.

Module 2 · Hands-on session with AI Opportunity Landscape canvas
🗓 5 March · 15:00–17:00 CET

We will guide you through the use of our Landscape canvas to map the value chain or workflow for your context and identify and prioritize the most valuable AI opportunities. AI funcionality cards (public) and an additional special set of Gen AI functionalities cards will be used as building blocks for the new use cases. It will be an intense and immersive hands-on session where to think deeply about your case and learn from other participants.

What will you get as a result:

• Systemized knowledge on topic: we will share a playbook accompanying the main themes of the talk where to highlight the most interesting parts and take notes for the further use and discussion.
• Your AI opportunity landscape: your mapped value chain and opportunity landscape that can become a starting point for defining the following AI strategy.
• All supporting materials: you will get your digital deck of cards and principles posters to use for all the possible following ideation sessions.

Our experience

This Bootcamp is created by oblo, a hyper-specialized service design studio, working on AI-realted projects since 2019 and willing to share more responsible and consciuos approach to AI and in general technological adoption. We have an extensive experience in collecting and organizing frameworks for the design work starting with the launch of Servicedesigntools in 2009 and going on experimenting and developing new tools and methods since then.
