WEBdeBS (WEB DEvelopers BreScia) is a group of people passionate about the web and everything that moves around it. We have regular meetings with talks about programming, languages, development methodologies, user experience, social media and more.
This past year we organized over ten meetings with great attendance of both local and visiting geeks. In addition to these local meetings, in the last two years WEBdeBS organized several national and international conferences.
In 2011, we organized a NoSqlDay, the first Italian conference dedicated exclusively to NoSQL technologies, which was attended by over 180 people and the first nodejsconf edition. This year we also hosted the DjangoDay, keynoted by a “Django Core” developer and supported by the DSF itself.
The first edition of NodeJs Conference was held in September, last year.
We had over 200 participants from across Europe and sessions by international speakers such as Sergi Mansilla (Cloud9IDE ), Arnout Kazemier (Socket.io), Ian Jorgensen (pubsub.io), Gabriele Lana, Golo Roden, Andy Kent (Forward) and Oleg Podsechin. During the conference there was also a workshop held by Gabriela Lana, focused on creating the game "Rock, paper, scissor, lizard, Spock" with nodejs. Based on last year success and the continuously growing interest in NodeJs, WEBdeBS decided to go at it again: the Second Edition of the NodeJs Conference will be held on November 10th 2012 in Brescia.
