eRum2020 on site conference (cancelled and turned into virtual conference)

IMPORTANT NOTICE: As you might be aware, the current Covid-19 spreading is having serious consequences for Italy and travels worldwide. Despite this is heavily impacting eRum2020, the Organizing Committee has been actively working for a few weeks to find alternative solutions for our beloved conference. We are currently evaluating different options, including remote access and postponing the event, always bearing in mind the health and safety of all participants. We plan to give you more information on the matter soon, as soon as the last details are finalized. As a direct consequence, the Early Bird deadline will be postponed to allow those interested in participating not to lose this advantage until the alternative plan will be implemented and communicated through this website.

The European R users meeting (eRum) is a biennial conference that brings the R users community of Europe together to exchange experiences, broaden knowledge of R and collaborate. eRum2020 will take place in Milan (Italy) from May 27 to May 30.

eRum is an open event, and it welcomes expert and skillful practitioners as well as people who just want to take a peek on the future of data science. eRum2020 aims to provide a platform for the creation of new collaborations and for sharing experiences. Being a no profit conference, ticket’s price will be kept as low as possibile.

Ticket information

Conference tickets comprise:

1. participation to all conference sessions on May 28 and 29;
2. coffee breaks and lunches on May 28 and 29;
3. entrance to the welcoming event on May 27.

An additional fee of 30€ applies for participation to the workshops on May 30.

Student tickets are available for bachelor, master and PhD students. We kindly ask you to bring a proof of your student status with you and show it to the registration desk the first day of the conference.

Social Event

The social event will be held on May 28 and it will take place at Just Cavalli, a beautiful location in the hearth of Milan.

A ticket for the social event costs 50€. It is possible to purchase an additional ticket for an accompanying person (a maximum of 2 social event tickets for each conference participant applies). Click here for more information on the social event.

Hackathon on Spatial Networks (Satellite Event)

Participation to the hackathon on May 27 is free, welcome to all, especially if you have experience with spatial data, graphs, and/or package development/documentation. You can register to the hackathon and read a more detailed description here.

Payment via wire transfer

If you need to pay via wire transfer, please send an email to admin[at]erum.io, mentioning the type and number of tickets that you intend to buy, and whether you want to join the social event. You will then be recontacted by us and receive information on how to proceed further (you don't need to register through EventBrite in this case).
