The Diversity Committee of the Europlanet Society, in collaboration with Women in Red and WikiDonne, are organising an Edit-a-thon during EPSC2020 to highlight diversity within the planetary science community.
The EPSC 2020 Planetary Science Wiki Edit-a-thon will take place from 21 September – 9th October. The primary language of the Wiki-Edit-a-thon will be English, but Wikipedians contributing articles in other languages are also welcome.
We are compiling a list of notable planetary scientists who meet Wikipedia’s Notability criteria but are currently missing, with a special emphasis on women and under-represented groups.
If you would like to participate in the project, please register and we will send you a kit with the basics of editing Wikipedia and details of a training session.
The training session will take place one week before the #EPSC2020 on 17 September
