Designing your career: understanding your role as part of the impact change
Event Information
About this Event
Have you ever found yourself knowing what you want to become and not being sure how to get there? Is there a better way to design our own career and make an impact as a UX professional? Is it a matter of hard or soft skills? What are the opportunities ahead of us?
In this panel we will explore how, as female designers, we can make a positive impact and be involved in making a difference in the workplace and society.
This event is very special because it is the first-year anniversary of Ladies that UX Milan! To celebrate it together, we invited four amazing designers we had the chance to meet this year: Alessandra Canella, Emanuela Damiani, Bruna Kochi and Valentina di Michele. They will share with us what it's really like to be a woman in the design industry in 2020, explaining the challenges they faced during their careers and discussing what they've made a change in their scenarios.
The event will be held on Zoom. Feel free to turn on your camera and chat with us! After the panel, we will continue the celebration with a speed networking, with cameras on, in which, you will be able to talk with other members of our community if you're interested (no pressure!).
To celebrate even more the occasion, we created our first exclusive t-shirt of Ladies that UX Milan, in collaboration with the amazing and talented Portuguese illustrator, Cláudia Alexandrino (@shutupclaudia). We are thrilled to show you our new creation during the event!
We look forward to having you in this talk and please join us in the conversation afterwards!

We are not a common technology community, our goal is not just to network and talk about a popular topic. We understand that women need a dedicated space to encourage, support and promote each other, and so more and more women may be interested in working with UX and technology.
