Unsealing the city

Il workshop esplora con la lente di ingrandimento i temi chiave del New European Green Deal e del New European Bauhaus attraverso le esperienze nazionali e internazionali. Lo studio di architettura del paesaggio LAND, la fondazione olandese Waag society e il caso fiorentino di LUMEN che si confrontano sulle opportunità del citizens engagement nella rigenerazione urbana come strumento per aumentare consapevolezza e ownership dei cittadini e realizzare interventi inclusivi e sostenibili. Nella seconda parte del workshop, i partecipanti faranno una passeggiata guidata all'esterno di Manifattura per osservare il paesaggio urbano, i terreni depavimentati dai lavori, dalla natura, dall'obsolescenza dei materiali urbani, e avranno l'opportunità di intervenire su di essi piantando pillole di semi autoctoni.

The workshop will explore through a landscape lens the key themes of the New European Green Deal and of the New European Bauhaus initiative through three keynote speeches from national and international experiences. The landscape architecture firm LAND, the Waag society foundation from the Netherland and the Florentine case of LUMEN will share the challenges and opportunities of landscape participatory interventions in terms of enhancing access to citizens, improving ownership and awareness, expanding inclusivity, reducing barriers, and contributing to urban sustainability. In the second part of the workshop, participants will have a guided walk outside Manifattura, to observe the landscape, the grounds unsealed by works, by nature, by obsolescence of urban materials, and will have the opportunity to act on them using local seed pills.
