Make it accessible!

This talk focuses on Web Accessibility, namely the practice of ensuring that people with disabilities—be it physical, situational or socio-economic—have access to and can interact with websites and applications.
We will begin the talk sharing the concept of an interface, intended as a layer between two parties that do not speak the same language. We’ll continue talking about accessibility devices and myths that surround them. Then we will dive into how to refactor codebases for screen reader optimization, following accessibility guidelines that improve the user experience for all people. We will conclude by sharing some useful tools that help developers build accessible webpages.
In this we start talking about the concept of interface, intended as layer from two entities that not speak same language; after that we'll wuickly talk about accessibility devices and "legends" around it; and after this introduction we'll talk about how to refactor codebases for optimize it for screen reader, following all guidelines for a better experience for all people.
In the end we'll see some useful tools for helping developers to make accessible webpages.

Da parecchi anni ormai sentiamo ripeterci quotidianamente che c'è un nuovo modo più "giusto" e più "bello" di fare il nostro lavoro, che quello che facciamo non può più funzionare perché lo facciamo con metodi e tecnologie "vecchie", "brutte" ma soprattutto "noiose"... Durante la presentazione analizzeremo nel dettaglio qualche caso di disinformazione del nostro settore, cercando di capire come difenderci per continuare a sviluppare serenamente.
