Proactive teachers for active learners

The concept of learner agency - students “having ownership over their learning”- shows the increasing need for learners to be able to do more than simply receive instruction. Today’s learners need to know when they require new learning, when to unlearn or relearn something to keep pace with our rapidly changing world.
We believe that teachers can increase learner agency by promoting a range of skills and strategies for independent learning: personalizing their learning, learning to choose appropriate resources, reflecting on their learning choices and ultimately being responsible and creative for a successful and meaningful life.
The conference is addressed to language teachers working with young learners, middle and high school teenagers, university students, or adults studying business and general English.
Guest Speaker: Rose Aylett Pop-up Teacher Training and CELTA Main Course Tutor at our centre.
