Night Murgia Trek
A fascinating trek to live a different and exciting experience, between culture and nature, recommended for those who want to see Matera by night. You will walk along the edges of the canyon, a unique and spiritual place where nature and devotion meet. The plateau has traces dating back to prehistoric times, Neolithic settlements and tombs dating back several thousand years before Christ. A 2-hours itinerary will lead to the discovery of the rock churches carved into the side of the Matera ravine, discovering naturalistic and landscape aspects of the Murgia park. The itinerary includes a visit to two different rock-hewn churches that are inaccessible without a guide: San Falcione and Madonna delle Tre Porte.
