Videomaker, danzatori e danzatrici, coreografə, fotografə,registə e filmmaker, insegnanti, professionistə del teatro e della danza e chiunque ami creare video danza!

Il requisito fondamentale è lo spiccato interesse per la creazione e produzione video, in particolare legata al settore della danza.

OBIETTIVI E SVOLGIMENTO

Come filmare storie di corpi in movimento? La video danza è una forma artistica complessa che unisce le arti della danza e del cinema in un nuovo ensemble. Si tratta di un potente mezzo di espressione per artistə che sono affascinatə dalla fusione di diverse discipline artistiche e dalla voglia di sviluppare la loro pratica o migliorare le tecniche di ripresa del movimento.

Gli obiettivi principali del workshop sono lo scambio di buone pratiche, dalla teoria alla pratica, all'interno del trittico body-frame-space e lo sviluppo di meccanismi di comunicazione flessibili all'interno del team durante il processo di pre-produzione, ripresa e post-produzione. Al workshop, il gruppo di partecipanti potrà godere di proiezioni di diversi generi e tecniche, esplorare le dinamiche di movimento di fronte e dietro la macchina da presa, avere familiarità con le attrezzature cinematografiche e il programma di editing Premiere Pro e partecipare a discussioni fruttuose attraverso riflessioni e feedback costruttivo.

Utilizzando modi transmediali, lavoreremo insieme esplorando contenuti, estetica, coreografia per la fotocamera, riprese non termiche, storyboard, scrittura e comunicazione di lavoro di squadra.

BIO

CHRYSANTHI BADEKA: / MØZ dopo il suo B.A in dance (Atene), ha perseguito il suo M.F.A alla Tisch School of the Arts di NYU (New York), concentrandosi sulla coreografia per la macchina fotografica. Da allora ha lavorato come coreografa freelance, direttore della fotografia, editor e videodance trainer e curatore. Per 10 anni consecutivi, si è dedicata alla promozione dell'arte di fare film di danza, co-regia di AVDP - International Dance Film Festival (2010-2020) e cofinanziando The Mediterranean Screendance Network, mentre ora è il direttore artistico dell'Organizzazione Culturale e Project Manager di mappe in Grecia (Creative Europe Program).

Come maker, spingendo la danza e la composizione, la sua pratica transmediale fonde il movimento con la tecnologia, la natura e la scienza lavorando attraverso diversi mezzi, presentando le sue opere sul palco o fuori teatro, su schermi cinematografici, monitor o ambienti sintetici (Virtual Reality). Come artista interdisciplinare è stata supportata dal Ministero della Cultura greco, NEON, Onassis Stegi, Compagnia di San Paolo e SIAE (in collaborazione con COORPI), State Scholarship Foundation of Greece e NYU.

È stata membro della giuria del DAN.CIN.FEST (Francia), del Concorso Internazionale La Danza in 1 minuto / COORPI (Italia) e dell'International Bucharest Dance Film Festival (Romania). Ha curato film di danza per molte conferenze e altri festival come: L'ALTERNATIVA FILM FESTIVAL (Spagna), OFF EUROPA (Germania), SCREENDANCE: PRACTICE & THEORY / University of IUAV (Italia), LOIKKA FESTIVAL (Finlandia), FESTIVAL DE VIDEDANZA DE PALMA, TANZRAUSCHEN International Dance on Screen Festival (Germania) e molti festival di danza locale in Grecia.

Workshop of SCREEN DANCE with CHRYSANTHI BADEKA

The workshop is open to choreographers, directors, dancers, actors, filmmakers, photographers, video designers and anyone who enjoys creating dance films.

How do we frame stories of moving bodies? Dance on screen is a complex artistic form that combines the arts of dance and cinema into a new ensemble. It is a powerful means of expression for creators, who are fascinated by the fusion of different artistic disciplines and curious to develop their practice or improve the techniques of filming the movement. The main objectives of the workshop are the best practices exchange, from theory to practice, within the triptych body-frame-space and the development of flexible communication mechanisms within the team during the pre-production, shooting and post-production process. At the workshop, participants will enjoy screenings of different genres and techniques, explore the dynamics of movement in front of and behind the camera, be familiar with cinematic equipment and Premiere Pro editing program and participate in fruitful discussions through reflections and constructive feedback. By using transmedia ways, we will work altogether exploring content, aesthetics, choreography for the camera, non-theatrical shooting, storyboarding, writing and teamwork communication.

BIO

CHRYSANTHI BADEKA / MØZ after her B.A in dance (Athens), she pursued her M.F.A at Tisch School of the Arts in NYU (New York), focusing on choreography for the camera. Since then she has been working as a freelance choreographer, cinematographer, editor and videodance trainer and curator. For 10 consecutive years, she dedicated herself to the promotion of the art of dance film making, co-directing AVDP - International Dance Film Festival (2010-2020) and co-funding The Mediterranean Screendance Network, while now she is the Artistic Director of MØZ Cultural Organisation and Project Manager of mAPs in Greece (Creative Europe Program).

As maker, propelling dance & composition, her transmedia practice merges movement with technology, nature and science working through different mediums, presenting her works on or off theatrical stage, on cinematic screens, monitors or synthetic environments (Virtual Reality). As an interdisciplinary artist she has been supported by the Greek Ministry of Culture, NEON, Onassis Stegi, Compagnia di San Paolo and SIAE (in collaboration with COORPI), State Scholarship Foundation of Greece and NYU.

She has been jury member for the DAN.CIN.FEST (France), International Contest La Danza in 1 minuto / COORPI (Italy) and International Bucharest Dance Film Festival (Romania).
