I kusamono, letteralmente “cose d’erba”, sono le piante o le composizioni di piante giapponesi definite “erbe da compagnia”. Conosciute anche come “bonsai di accompagnamento”, perché ricreano paesaggi naturali in dimensioni ridotte e evocano le stagioni, sono tradizionalmente creati a partire da piante erbacee e fiori come peonie, crisantemi e iris.
Durante questo workshop ogni partecipante potrà creare, con materiali di recupero, il proprio personale kusamono d’effetto.

Kusamono - literally "things of grass" - are plants or compositions of plants defined as "companion herbs", usually used as an accompaniment to bonsai. Like bonsai, they are kept in well-defined exhibition spaces: inside Japanese houses they find a home in the so-called tokonoma, an alcove facing in a propitious direction which the Japanese consider the most special place in the house.
At this workshop, each participant will have the opportunity to create their own personal kusamono from recycled materials.
