Il mini-workshop “Introduzione alla calligrafia” è un ottimo modo per ricominciare a scrivere bene ed esplorare lo strumento per eccellenza che ha influenzato lo sviluppo di tutto il nostro alfabeto latino: la punta tronca.

Partiremo dalle sette regole di base individuate da Edward Johnston, il creatore del Foundational, ed esploreremo il segno calligrafico con l’uso di inchiostro e pennino.

The mini-workshop "Introduction to Calligraphy" is a great way to start writing well and explore the instrument par excellence that has influenced the development of our entire Latin alphabet: the truncated tip.

We will start from the seven basic rules identified by Edward Johnston, the creator of the Foundational, and we will explore the calligraphic sign with the use of ink and nib.

Caterina Scardillo is a teacher at LABA - Free Academy of Fine Arts in Florence where she teaches History of Writing, Calligraphy and Typography.
