Who is Carsten:

Carsten works as an Agile Coach at the LEGO Group, where he plays around with Solution-Focused Coaching, Liberating Structures, and Dad Jokes with different parts of the company. Carsten spends a lot of energy on sharing ideas, tips, and tricks on his YouTube channel every week, hoping to inspire people to share their best tips and tricks as well. His motto is: "I don't care if people talk about knitting in the Dark Ages, as long as they're passionate about it. If they're passionate about what they do, I'll love to learn more".

About the session:

Over the last couple of years, Carsten started to dive more and more into Liberating Structures, using them to create safe spaces for participants to make up their minds and share their opinions.

In this presentation, Carsten will share how he uses Liberating Structures together with Solution-Focused Coaching, Storytelling, and Dad Jokes to facilitate workshops, meetings, offsites, and other events. With the overall goal to get everybody involved in a good way.

Hopefully, some laughs will appear along the way.

Liberating Structures is a toolbox of different structures that all focus on actively involving people to help get a diverse solution or input to a given invitation.

The talk will give some light introductions to Liberating Structures in general. Then examples of how Carsten uses them in different workshops, both inside and outside the LEGO Group.

Hence, if you're new to Liberating Structures this could be a great way to get introduced to the terminology and concepts.

And if you know some Liberating Structures already then you might pick up some new Strings or inspiration on how to combine it with other facilitation techniques.
