CLIMATE SPACE | Villa Portales

Negli anni cinquanta, con l’esodo dalle campagne verso la città, la popolazione di Santiago del Cile, come quella di tante altre città, cresceva rapidamente. Attraverso il processo creativo dell’artista Jojo Fuentes, Villa Portales racconta la storia di un progetto di edilizia popolare che ha risposto all’emergenza abitativa senza rinunciare alla vita in comunità.

In the fifties, Santiago, like many other cities around the world, grew rapidly to accomodate the people moving in from the countryside. Through the eyes of visual artist Jojo Fuentes, Villa Portales tells the story of a social housing project that responded to the urgency of new dwellings while still fostering the community.
