Sulle rive sabbiose del Brahmaputra, dove l’erosione si porta via intere isole, Jadav Payeng ha creato dal nulla una densa foresta di più di 500 ettari, un albero alla volta, dando stabilità alle rive ed offren-do un eremo di pace, protezione e verzura a piante ed animali.

Along the sandy shores of the Brahmaputra River, where erosion carries away whole islands, Jadav Payeng has singlehandedly created a dense forest of more than 500 hectares, one tree at a time. The forest contributes to stopping erosion and to offering a safe heaven for animals and plants.
