Asakaira aims to be the whimsical and metaphisical place from which is possible to take a deep look into yourself. Coming from the south of italy have a religious respect for the history and the legacy of jazz and black music in general. In their music this reflects into a way of conciously breaking the rules looking always for a fresher and new prospective. The sound is fluid, psychedelic, and in a continous state of changing but still remains recognizable to the listener. Afro beat and punk jazz meets funk and electronic music with contaminations from their mediterranean origins and culture. Something new is in the city!
